Above Westerville - A Photo Gallery
Towering Work
New cell phone antennas have been installed on a tubular structure next to the water tower on Otterbein Avenue, across from Westerville South High School. Once this installation is complete, the antennas on top of the water tower will be removed, and the tower will be renovated and repainted, similar to the recent work done on the Maxtown water tower.
First Farm House
The first home is being built at Farms at Uptown, a residential neighborhood that connects East College Avenue with Myrtle Drive, off North Otterbein Avenue. When completed, the neighborhood will feature ten single-family homes, with variances for slightly non-conforming lot widths on three plots within the 4.4-acre residentially zoned plat. The homes are expected to be valued at $850,000. Custom Elite Homes LLC, located in Galena, is the developer.
Hanby Alley Above-Ground Work
After weeks of work to bury utilities and install water lines for fire suppression, paving began this week in Hanby Alley and the rear areas of neighboring businesses. Concrete curbs and asphalt are replacing the gravel and dirt that previously made the alley mostly unusable, serving only as a driveway for the back of the buildings. The newly renovated roadway will now provide additional space for events in the adjacent parking lot.
Street’s Upgrade Nears Completion
On Monday, Heatherdown Drive received layers of asphalt underlay, bringing the road rebuild closer to completion. The next step will be to lay the final asphalt surface layer and finish with striping, allowing the connecting road to reopen.
The Village at Central College, south of Hoover Dam, sits under darkening skies.
