Everbowl Crowds The Walk
The Everbowl opening gambit of giving away 300 of its craft superfood bowls proved too much for the sidewalk as it became clogged with diners long before the 5 p.m. opening and stayed barely navigable for more than two hours. The owners said they were prepared to make 500 bowls if necessary. No report yet on the final tally.
The Continuance was first for the first.
Megan’s Moving. Sorta.
Local artist and clothing maker Megan Lee Designs is moving its retail store slightly, across the street to 13 East College where S.H.E., a women’s clothing store, recently closed. Megan Lee plans to add more local artists and designers to its new location. There isn’t yet a date for the opening of the new location.
The Continuance likes it when people openly express their feelings.
Qué Pasa Westerville
There’s more to Hispanic Heritage Month than tacos at The Blue Plate Special Kitchen. The best way to begin to understand the importance of starting a heritage month in the middle of the month is to know September 15 is the date many South and Central American countries obtained their freedom from Spanish rule and is a day of celebration.
The Westerville Library celebrates the month with a selection of books, movies, art, and classes including a performance by Ballet Folclórico Xochihua on September 24.

Walk, Don’t Crawl
LifePoint Real Estate is organizing this year’s Chief’s Champion, a fundraiser for cancer research following the death of BST&G Fire Chief Jeff Wilson of brain cancer in 2018. The crawl begins at Jimmy V’s on Saturday afternoon, September 16 at 2 p.m. with a trip through Uptown Westerville ending with a drawing for the grand prize, "Night out in Uptown Westerville” where you won’t have to crawl to get through the DORA experience.
Tickets are online or at the door.
