A squad of Stormtroopers conducted inspections for particular drones and potential Rebel fighters at a checkpoint located at the Community Center on Cleveland Avenue. No Rebels were apprehended. Additionally, food donations for WARM were gathered from each vehicle that underwent the inspection process.

This Week In Westerville
Westerville City Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. The agenda includes the third reading of legislation to enter into a merger agreement with Harlem Township. The proposal recently ended when the township decided against proceeding due to backlash from residents opposed to a possible tax hike and loss of township identity. It is also the second reading for legislation for the” Exchange of Real Estate with Middlefield Banking Company to provide for the Acquisition of the Real Estate Known as 17 N. State Street.” Public comment is invited.
Proposed plans for Adventure Park are on display at the Westerville Community Center Thursday, May 9 from 6-8 p.m. Adventure Park is planned for a strip of land between Alum Creek and Vesper Way near the city’s western border.
An Affordable Housing Resource Fair is Saturday at the Community Center. It is free and offered in partnership with the Franklin County Auditor.
Board of Zoning Appeals is Thursday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m.
“Taste of Westerville!”, from the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, is Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. Offerings, other than networking, include food sampling, wine and beer tastings all included in the ticket, and there will be a raffle.
Westerville Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale is Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the front lawn of the Masonic Lodge, 130 South State Street, next to the Westerville Public Library. If you missed out on the Inniswood sale over the weekend, this is another opportunity for home-grown plants.
