Heavy traffic through Uptown Westerville has resulted in damage to the recently installed brick crosswalks on State Street. The most severe damage appeared at State and Main Streets where bricks are missing or broken.

In an email, Westerville City Engineer Nate Lang acknowledged “It appears that there are some failures in the wheel paths, which would be expected with the amount of traffic on State St. …… This is expected over time as we don't believe this is related to the concrete or subgrade material failing.“
