Fox In The Snow Opens With Large Crowd
The line for souffléd eggs and cinnamon rolls curved around and down Park Street after the first customer for Fox in the Snow in Westerville arrived at 5:30 in the morning.
Betsy Ramirez, who was parked in the first spot by the door, left a few minutes after opening, bringing food, coffee, and hot chocolate for her kids, as well as the free t-shirt given to the first 150 people in line.
Owners of Fox in the Snow, Lauren Culley and Jeff Excell, handed out free samples and T-shirts before the store opened, welcoming the first-day diners with gifts. The line gently shrank, but not so quickly that late arrivals for the coffee and pastry shop’s first day in Westerville didn’t have to wait in line. Later in the day, around lunchtime, the winding line inside stretched to the front door as diners patiently waited their turn to choose from the wide variety of pastries and drinks on the menu.

Fox in the Snow is the newest coffee and pastry shop to open in Uptown, joining Begin Cafe, which opened several blocks away earlier this year. Between the two, West House plans to open later this year, serving “the finest matcha and chocolate experience, crafted with the same passion and quality you love from Espresso Air.”
The Westerville Fox in the Snow is the biggest of the company’s five restaurants. The owners also announced plans to start a catering business once the Westerville location is running smoothly.
