History Museum Repairs Reveal Bullet Holes in Brick
The contractor making repairs to the exterior of the History Museum at the Westerville Public Library found what he said were bullet holes in the brick just above the lintel of a first-floor window facing State Street.
The two bricks had holes that appeared to be the size of 9mm bullets, and the bricks were broken apart at those holes, but the projectiles could not be found when the bricks were removed.
The worker acknowledged it would be impossible to know when the holes were made, especially without the bullets. The damaged bricks were removed and replaced.
