New Apartments and Restaurant Coming to 32 W College Street

A new apartment complex at 32 W College Street will soon open, adding four residential units to a site with a rich history. Each apartment will feature two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms and will be accessible by stairs or elevator. Inside, residents will enjoy quartz countertops, high-end appliances, and an open floor plan.

Rent is set at $2,750 per month. Each unit includes an assigned parking space. Covered parking is available for an additional $100 per month. Construction is expected to be completed in September, and move-ins are anticipated shortly after that.

The site of the new complex was once a private residence before it became home to The Book Harbor, a popular used bookstore. After the death of the property’s owner and subsequent challenges in finding a buyer, the city purchased the house. With no buyer coming forward and an attempt to sell it for $1 if it were to be moved from the site, the property was eventually demolished.
