Rehearsal and Performance on Sunday Afternoon
Daring to Dream
Emily Lawless, in the photo above, instructs the cast of Dare To Dream during a rehearsal at the amphitheater in Alum Creek Park North.
“Dare to Dream” is a Disney musical revue centered on a familiar theme: dreams matter, but they require courage, friendship, and belief to become possible. The production follows young trainees at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio as they explore what it means to discover and pursue a dream. Drawing from a century of Disney films and songs, the show lets young performers connect classic Disney themes with their own stage presence through music, movement, and storytelling.
The cast includes Chloe McKinney, Aubrey Williams, Zoey Arnold, Jackson Linnenbom, Emi Nicodemus, Leah Williams, Hallie Hazen, Cedric Meadows, Olivia Colwell, Evie Stetson, Maddie Deal, Emma Shonkwiler, Paige Shonkwiler, Henry Dodson, Asher Walk, Joanna Hughes, Isla Thompson, Evan Pieper, Trudy Sautters, Blaine Bring, Emmy Colna, Aaliyah Mullen, Madison Paul, Henson Brannan-Smith, Paige Olmos, Simone Williams, Maggie Canavan, Lucas Strodtbeck, Nate Matthews, Brooklyn Gales and Hamilton Young.
The shows are on Friday, May 29. and Saturday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at the Alum Creek Park Amphitheater.

Vine Street’s Musical Highlight
The crowd began gathering in front of the Munger home on Vine Street, where Skye Johnson’s operatic voice settled across the lawns and flower gardens during the 7th Annual Vine Street Art Walk on Sunday.
Residents turned their front yards into small galleries for the evening, displaying artwork and offering fun activities for visitors of all ages.
Among the artistic moments of the evening were a chess challenge, cookies, a silly walk section of the sidewalk, a table with free-for-the-taking paintings, wood crafts and art, clothing, face-painting, and a view of the Andy Pizza mural on the Mumger’s garage.
Editor’s Note: The correct name for the woman directing children in the top photo is Lawless, not Lawson, as originally published.
The correct name for the singer is Skye Johnson, not Kate Munger, as originally published.
