Cathy Ann “Cack” Townsend-Bunting
July 3, 1966 – January 16, 2026
Cathy Ann “Cack” Townsend-Bunting, 59, of Westerville, Ohio, died peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Columbus, she graduated from Westerville South High School in 1984. She helped run the family business, T & M Sunoco, served as a school aide at Hawthorne Elementary, and worked with special needs students at Blendon Middle School. For more than 15 years, she drove for Tristar Transportation Company, caring for special needs children with patience and skill. She loved pugs and fostered and rescued many pets. A devoted football fan, she cheered her grandsons at Claymont and Big Walnut, loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, and rooted for the Cleveland Browns.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Metcalf) Townsend, and father, Bob Townsend. Survivors include siblings Cindy (Bill) Henson and Ed (Steve) Townsend, sons Josh (Mindy) Bunting, Jonny (Katie) Bunting, and Matt Bunting, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially Dakota, Kaden, Tikwan, Jayla, Deuce, Brandon, Cash, Calvin, Kylie, and Paxtyn, nephews and nieces Justin (Erin) Hibbitt, Amy Pirkey, Erica (Rob) Elliott, Hayden and Tristen Townsend, great-nephew Kamden Hibbitt, great-niece Kadence Hibbitt, dear friend Kathy Bobb, and stepmother Stella Townsend.
The family thanks the doctors and nurses at St. Ann’s Hospital and her neighbors for their care and support.
Donna Jean Wymer McCreight
May 10, 1936 – January 21, 2026
Donna Jean Wymer McCreight, 89, of Hilliard, Ohio, died January 21, 2026, at Harmony Trace Assisted Living. Born in Marion, she married David L. McCreight on September 3, 1955. Early in their marriage, they lived in Japan during his U.S. Army service, then settled in Bellefontaine for many years before moving to Westerville in 1978. A Harding High School graduate, she provided child care for more than 55 years and was known to generations as “Nana.” In 2021, she moved to Harmony Trace, where she embraced community life and welcomed new residents. She was a member of Heritage Christian Church in Westerville and the Pauline Circle at Church of the Messiah. She was a 50-plus-year member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Outreach Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, her parents, brothers Darrell and Michael, and sister Paula. Survivors include children Deborah (Gary) Hurd, Michael (John Krzykoski) McCreight, and Stephen McCreight, granddaughter Ashley McCreight, great-grandchildren Rebecca, Colten, and Cheyenne Grinstead, Koichi (Chizuru) Adachi and Junichi Adachi, and extended family.
Robert “Bob” Burton Hill
July 23, 1944 – January 22, 2026
Robert “Bob” Burton Hill, 81, of Westerville, Ohio, died January 22, 2026, at St. Ann’s Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Ironton, he graduated from Linden-McKinley High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He married Barbara Mills on March 18, 1966, at Linden Baptist Church. He worked 43 years at The Columbus Dispatch and was a member of York Lodge No. 563. An avid woodworker, he also enjoyed model railroading, golf, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace N. Hill and Margaret E. Hill. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Hill, children Christa (Kevin) Jones and Robert Ryan (Melissa) Hill, and grandchildren Matthew and Katelyn Jones and Lauren Hill.
Friends may call on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunbury Memorial Park, with Celebrant Tom Dea’Therage officiating.

Sandra Sue “Sandy” Stalter
February 10, 1945 – January 22, 2026
Sandra Sue “Sandy” Stalter, 80, of Westerville, Ohio, died unexpectedly on January 22, 2026. Born in Columbus to Lena (George) and the late Robert Federer, she married Larry L. Stalter and shared 55 years of marriage until his death on February 9, 2022. Sandy owned a cleaning business for more than 30 years, helping families keep their homes organized and tidy. She loved animals, shopping, gardening, and trips to the casino with her lifelong friend, Judy Holtzapfel. She was a generous host who never let a guest go without a drink or a meal, and she valued time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her father. Survivors include her mother, Lena Federer, sons Larry (Melissa) Stalter and Mark (Lisa) Stalter, grandchildren Brandon Stalter, Christian (Hannah) Stalter, and Isabella Stalter, sisters Barb Brown and Patti (Steve) Henthorn, and many extended family members and friends.
Daniel “Potts” Paul Maisch
July 9, 1957 – January 22, 2026
Daniel “Potts” Paul Maisch, 68, of Westerville, Ohio, died on January 22, 2026. Born in Lima to Jack and Cecilia (Pflum) Maisch, he graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School. He built a career spanning more than 30 years at Liebert Corporation, working in electric power systems and precision cooling. A lifelong fisherman, he spent many happy hours on his boat at Hoover Dam with family and friends and took regular fishing trips to Canada, often with his grandson. He also enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren and relaxing at home with his dog, Oreo, and cats, Colby and Jack. He was married to Diane (Denbow) Maisch for 37 years.
