Robert E. Frost
1938 – June 23, 2026
Robert E. Frost, 87, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away June 23, 2026. He retired from the law firm of Frost and Maddox Co., LPA after a 50-year legal career.
A veteran of the United States Army, Robert was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School, University of Dayton, and Notre Dame Law School, where he earned his law degree in 1964. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Dawn; son Peter Frost; daughter Erin Frost; stepson Steve Shaw and Cathy Shaw; and grandchildren Whitney and Derek.
He will be remembered for his long career in the law, his military service, and his devotion to family and faith.
Donna J. Tucci Pangalangan
September 19, 1940 – June 20, 2026
Donna J. Tucci Pangalangan passed away June 20, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in Columbus to Jim and Mary Tucci and grew up with her sister Deanna and twin brother Don.
Donna attended St. Augustine Grade School, graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in 1958, and earned her nursing degree from St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital, where she found deep purpose in caring for others.
While at St. Anthony, she met Augusto L. “Auggie” Pangalangan. They married Sept. 1, 1962, beginning a life that took them from Columbus to Manila, Philippines, and back to Ohio, where they raised their family in Westerville.
Donna and Auggie served their community through St. Paul Church and school, their medical practice, and community wellness clinics. Donna will be remembered for her compassion, her gift for making others feel safe and cared for, and her devotion to family and service.
Kevin John McCrate
November 26, 1959 – June 16, 2026
Kevin John McCrate, 66, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away June 16, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
A proud member of the St. Francis DeSales High School class of 1978, Kevin maintained close friendships with many classmates throughout his life. He began his career as a truck driver and later became a respected sales executive in the paper industry, where he was known for integrity, dedication, and strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Kevin married Kimberly Brown McCrate in 1994. Together they raised two children, Eric and Annie Faye. He was active in their lives, coaching baseball and softball and supporting their interests. He shared boating, fishing, and Cleveland Browns football with Eric, and remained closely involved in Annie’s youth, travel, and college softball experiences.
Kevin loved cooking and enjoyed time in the kitchen with Kim and Annie, preparing new recipes and family favorites. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, loyal friendships, and generous spirit.
Mary Ann Fonow
August 12, 1928 – June 22, 2026
Mary Ann Fonow, 97, passed away June 22, 2026, in Westerville, Ohio, where she had lived for the past several years with her son and daughter-in-law. She was born in Bethany, West Virginia, and lived most of her life in Steubenville, Ohio.
Mary was a longtime area businesswoman and active in her church and community. A devout Catholic, she served for several years on St. Peter’s Catholic Church Council and lived her faith daily.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Fonow; parents Nick and Belle Villies; and siblings John, August “Gus,” Angelo, Helen Hesske, Ethel Bazak, and Pauline Maragos.
She is survived by her children Mary Margaret Fonow and Corinne Dillon, James Fonow and Karen Lucke, and Ann Marie Barrett and Timothy Barrett; grandchildren Ben Upton, Jessica Dawso and James Dawso, James Fonow and Alexis Fonow, and Elizabeth Barrett; and great-grandchildren Finn Dawso, Nora Dawso, and Jacob Fonow.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
