Daniel Kenneth Cottrill
July 8, 1947 – March 6, 2026
Daniel Kenneth Cottrill, 78, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away March 6, 2026, at home surrounded by family after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born in East Cleveland, Ohio, to Kenneth Claire Cottrill and Edith Marie Frank Cottrill.
Dan grew up on a farm in Delaware, where he helped with farm work alongside his brothers. He graduated from Olentangy High School in 1965, briefly attended The Ohio State University, and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He married Linda Frederick on May 18, 1974. Dan owned a construction company for several years and designed and built the Westerville home where he and Linda raised their family. Later, he worked for ServPro until retirement. He was known as a skilled do-it-yourselfer who could fix nearly anything. He also enjoyed golf, especially with the senior league in Westerville and with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Benjamin Cottrill and Elizabeth Cottrill, and Matthew Cottrill; grandchildren Ila and Wyatt; brothers Roy Cottrill and Kitty Cottrill, Richard Cottrill and Debra Cottrill, and Gene Cottrill; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Debbie Cottrill.
Mary B. (Coe) Huffman
1931 – March 9, 2026
Mary B. Huffman, 94, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully March 9, 2026. She worked as a bank teller at Farmers and Merchants and later for the Worthington school system. At age 53, she earned her associate degree in nursing and LPN credential, then spent 19 years working at Hardin Hills nursing home.
After retirement, Mary traveled with her husband, Cliff, and especially enjoyed visiting Alaska in their RV. She also loved baking and sewing. She often said she was lucky twice in life, having found two great loves and two happy marriages.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Coe; her second husband, Clifford Huffman; sons David and Jeffrey; daughter-in-law Beth Coe; sister Imogene Evans; and brother John Burns.
She is survived by her son, John Coe and Deborah Coe; grandchildren Steven Coe, Stacey Sedmak and Collin Sedmak, Jessie Coe, Jason Coe, and Amy Whitmore and Eric Whitmore; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Robert Leroy Follmer
April 16, 1942 – March 11, 2026
Robert Leroy Follmer, 83, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away March 11, 2026. Born in Hastings, Nebraska, he was known to family and friends as Bob.
Bob served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an aviation electronics technician second class petty officer and took special pride in his time as a navigator flying in F-4 Phantom aircraft off the USS Constellation. After military service, he studied electrical engineering at the University of Kansas and built a career in the power industry, working with American Electric Power, Lutz Daily and Brain, and Bibb and Associates.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Follmer; son Douglas Walter Follmer and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Follmer; daughter Jessica Megan Slack and Andrew Joseph Slack; and grandsons Jackson Robert Slack and Jacob Christian Slack.
Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed duck hunting, water skiing, snow skiing, and time spent with family in nature. He also enjoyed sports, both watching and coaching, and will be remembered for his generosity, courage, and devotion to his family.
