Ann S. Anderson
1938 – May 8, 2026
Ann S. Anderson, 87, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away May 8, 2026. Born and raised in Columbus, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Born deaf, Ann lived with strength and determination and never let that define her limits. She raised three sons she loved fiercely and remained devoted to her family throughout her life.
Ann enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and loved cheering for Ohio State football. Even after losing her eyesight later in life, one of her first questions was often whether Ohio State had won.
Peggy Ann Munzer

Peggy Ann Munzer, 89, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away May 8, 2026. She was the owner of Munzer Heating and Cooling.
Peggy and her husband, William “Bill” Munzer, were longtime car enthusiasts. They were members of the Pipers Hot Rod Club, Goodguys Rod and Custom Association, and helped start and support the Capital City Corvette Club. They were known for their 1963 split-window Corvette, featured in magazines and on the cover of the Corvette Black Book, along with other notable cars.
She is survived by her children Pamela Doty of Dublin, Kimberly Marcum and Skippy Marcum of Columbus, and William “Todd” Munzer of Columbus; grandchildren Jason, Christopher, Katie, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Kayla, Jayson, Emma, Isaac, Autumn, Aubrey, Tammy, and Kelly; brother Donald Munzer of Wilmington; sister-in-law Grace Everett of Saginaw, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Munzer.
Edith Alene Heise
1928 – May 3, 2026
Edith Alene Heise, 97, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away May 3, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born in Columbus to Walter and Francis Maxon and, after her mother’s death, was adopted by William and Evelyn Leonard.
Known as Edie, she worked as a beautician, tax preparer, and co-owner of a ceramics studio with her daughters. She enjoyed home remodeling, construction, gardening, sewing, and competitive bridge, earning Life Master status in the American Contract Bridge League.
Edie loved travel and hiking. She and her husband, Nelson Heise, enjoyed Volksmarch hikes across the United States and Germany and built a cabin in Hocking Hills. At 72, she completed a monthlong Camino de Santiago pilgrimage with her daughter Elena. She also loved the beach, especially Clearwater Beach, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, her husband Nelson, and daughter Elena Langstaff.
She is survived by daughter Diane Toombs and Mickey Toombs; son Douglas Beavers and Marie Beavers; grandchildren Teri Yates, Sandi Sellers, Michael Toombs, Jason Beavers, Janel Poole, and Lana Langstaff; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dempsey Event Center in Delaware.
Franklin Gwinn
October 23, 1933 – August 27, 2025
Franklin Gwinn, of Westerville, Ohio, and formerly of Circleville, passed away Aug. 27, 2025. He was born in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, to Loma and Missouri Gwinn.
Frank proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a chief master sergeant. After his military service, he worked in industrial facilities management.
While living in Circleville, he and his wife, Ruby, enjoyed gardening and going to auctions. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church, the Circleville Garden Club, and volunteered at the mental health center. He later became a member of Church of the Messiah in Westerville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ruby Gwinn; his parents; sisters Francis Gwinn, Louise McGraw, and Louella Patterson; and brother Loma Gwinn.
He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Beaver and Dennis Beaver; grandson Kevin Beaver and Tiffany Beaver; great-grandchildren Addison and Ethan Beaver; and many nieces and nephews.
William “Bill” Hardy
July 20, 1937 – May 13, 2026
William “Bill” Hardy, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully May 13, 2026, surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia.
Bill served five years in the United States Navy as a medic. While raising his family, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University.
He married Frances “Fran” Ellen Million on Oct. 13, 1962. They shared 67 years of marriage filled with love, travel, and adventure.
Bill was known for his gentle nature, generous spirit, and love of model railroad trains. He was an active member of Westerville Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Fran; children Jim Hardy and Linda Hardy, David Hardy, and Gin Long and Rob Long; grandchildren Josh, Erin, Nathan, Matthew, Makenzie, and Avree; and six great-grandchildren.
