Clay Richard Rammelsberg
1930 – April 23, 2026
Clay Richard Rammelsberg, 95, passed away peacefully April 23, 2026, at his Westerville home. He was born to Delma and Clay Rammelsberg Sr. and was raised on the Rammelsberg family farm in Westerville.
A 1948 graduate of Westerville High School, Clay met Doris Fisher through school and church. They married March 15, 1953, and shared nearly 71 years together.
Clay served briefly in Germany after being drafted during the Korean War. He later returned home to farm with Doris by his side. Together they raised turkeys, dairy cows, beef cattle, and crops, building a life rooted in hard work, family, and community.
Clay and Doris delivered Meals on Wheels for 18 years and enjoyed square dancing, euchre, travel, and close friendships. In 1979, their family was named Farm Family of the Year by the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce.
Clay was a devoted father of six and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his steady work ethic, love of farming, and deep devotion to family.
Malinda Sue Maltman
December 6, 1943 – April 28, 2026
Malinda Sue Maltman, known as Sue, 82, passed away peacefully April 28, 2026, in Westerville, Ohio. She was born in Rogers, Arkansas, to Alta Joe Brown Saunders and Herbert Saunders.
Sue graduated from Flower Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo and served stateside as an Army nurse during the Vietnam War. Her nursing career spanned more than four decades, including many years as a nursing manager at The Toledo Hospital and later as a psychiatric nurse in Wauseon.
She married Philip Maltman in 1981. They shared many adventures until his death in 1988. Sue was known for her kindness, faith, and devotion to family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Radecki and Mike Radecki, and Lori Aronson and Eric Aronson; stepchildren Michael Charney and Brenda Charney, and Ruth Pauwels; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary Jo Harbour; brothers Lee Saunders and Laura Saunders, and Charles Saunders; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
