Richard “Dick” Dreisbach, 89, of Westerville and formerly of Findlay, passed away October 8, 2025, at Danbury Senior Living, Parkside Village.
Born April 11, 1936, in Findlay to Frank and Lois (Frech) Dreisbach, he married N. Vivian (Riggle) Dreisbach on June 7, 1957. She preceded him in death in 2024 after 66 years of marriage.
A 1954 graduate of Findlay Senior High School, Dick earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, Company C of the 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment, and was honorably discharged as a sergeant.
He began his career with Cleveland Trust Company before joining Marathon Oil Company in 1962, where he worked in finance, accounting, and later computer services until his retirement in 1996 after 34 years.
Following retirement, Dick dedicated his time to volunteering at St. Paul’s Church, Chopin Hall, City Mission, and Habitat for Humanity. A lifelong member of St. Paul’s Church, he served in leadership roles and found great joy in singing in the choir and quartet.
His life was guided by his faith and the principles of compassion, humility, and kindness, which he lived out daily in service to others.
Margaret McGregor (Summers) Kennedy, of Westerville, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the Gables of Westerville.
She was born November 13, 1935, in Glasgow, Scotland, to John McLaren and Jane Ewing (McIntyre) Summers.
Margaret worked as an office manager in the aero engine manufacturing industry and later in the United States for Timken USA, OHMS, and Ultryx Corporation. While living in England, she met Donald L. Kennedy, who was serving at Fairford Air Base. They married in 1961 and shared nearly 58 years together until his passing in 2019.
Margaret enjoyed tap dancing, playing piano, and baking for friends and family. She traveled and lived around the world, including Okinawa, Scotland, England, and several U.S. states, before settling in Ohio. Proud of her Scottish roots, she carried her heritage with grace and humor throughout her life.
She will be remembered for her warmth, quick wit, and joyful spirit.
John Thomas “Jack” Condon, 88, of Westerville, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on October 20, 2025.
He was born April 22, 1937, in Brooklyn to John and Margaret Condon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Harrington Condon, and his sister, Kathleen Cleary.
Jack was a proud member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary at Lake Monticello, Virginia, and a devoted fan of the New York Giants, New York Mets, and Brooklyn Dodgers.
He will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and love of family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donald Andrew Curran, 59, of Columbus, passed away at home on October 12, 2025.
Born in Columbus and raised in Westerville, Don was the son of Michael and Lucy Curran. He attended St. Paul School, graduating in 1981, and Westerville North High School in 1985. He worked as an automotive mechanic for Porsche Audi North in Dublin during the 1990s and later as a team leader at the Paul Peterson Company in Columbus and Hilliard, where he retired in 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Curran, and brother, Richard Curran.
Claude D. Holzapfel Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by his family.
A graduate of Mifflin High School, Claude began his career in construction with his father at Holzapfel Construction before joining Elford Inc., where he worked for nearly 40 years as a superintendent and project manager. He took great pride in the many notable projects he helped build across central Ohio and remained close with the Elford family long after his retirement.
A member of the Church of the Messiah in Westerville, where he and his wife Brenda were married in 1961, Claude was also a proud member of the Blendon Masonic Lodge. In 1970, he built the family’s home in Westerville, where he lived for more than five decades.
Claude loved traveling with Brenda, especially their trips to China, India, and Turkey, and spending summers with family and friends at their cottage in Lakeside, Ohio. He found joy in fishing, tending his yard, visiting Roush Hardware, and caring for the wildlife around his home.
He will be remembered for his warmth, devotion, and the care he gave to all around him.
Norma Rice, 98, of Westerville, passed away on October 19, 2025. She was born September 2, 1927, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Richard B. and May (Adkins) Sansom.
Baptized as an infant at the EUB Church in Chillicothe, Norma was a longtime member of Central College Presbyterian Church and the Stoutsville Camp Meeting Association. She also participated in several organizations, including the Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine Chorus, Daughters of the Nile, and the Sweet Adelines – Columbus Women’s Chorus.
Norma retired from civilian federal service, working with NAVPRO Columbus and DLA DSAC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Rice; sister, Delta (Loy) Hatmaker; and an infant brother.
She will be remembered for her faith, music, and lifelong commitment to service and community.
