Karen Nielsen Judd passed away peacefully at home in Westerville, Ohio, on September 2, 2025, surrounded by family. She was 94.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Karen spent much of her childhood in Durham, NC, where she built lifelong friendships. A graduate of Durham High School and Duke University, she pursued a career in nursing, retiring from Ohio State University Hospital Medical Center in 1991.
Karen had a deep love of nature and volunteered at Inniswood Metro Gardens. She found joy in backyard birds, family gatherings, and summers spent at her Mohican campground retreat, “Happy Ours.”
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Cheshire Cemetery.
Allan Warren Anthony of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in Bellevue, Ohio, Allan was a proud graduate of Bellevue High School and The Ohio State University, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in education. He spent his career teaching at the Ohio School for the Deaf, where his passion for learning and storytelling made a lasting impact.
Allan was a man of many passions—duck decoy collecting, antique furniture restoration, golf, Santa carving, and reading old westerns. Summers were best spent at his beloved cottage on Lake Temagami in Ontario, Canada, cruising in his vintage wood boat and fishing for walleye. He co-authored Maumee Bay Duck Decoy Carvers, preserving a piece of Northwest Ohio history.
A fixture on his front porch with a basset hound by his side, a book in hand, and a pipe in mouth, Allan was known for his wit, warmth, and endless stories. He was deeply loved and will be missed for his humor, kindness, and creative spirit.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Lynn; his parents, extended family, and a long line of beloved basset hounds.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 13, from 12–2 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville. Burial will take place Monday, September 15, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, Ohio.
Paul L. Blalock of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Columbus, Paul was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and a retiree of the United States Postal Service. He attended The Ohio State University and was a longtime member of American Legion Post #0797 in Gahanna.
Paul loved to travel and fish, always seeking new adventures across the country and calm waters to cast a line. His devotion to family and country ran deep, and his quick wit, strong spirit, and unwavering loyalty will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home, followed immediately by a funeral service. In honor of Paul’s lifelong Buckeye pride, the family asks all attendees to wear Ohio State attire.
Janet Ruth Sibert Cseak, of North Port, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 80 after an extended illness.
A graduate of Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, Janet was passionate about music and traveled to Europe with the university’s elite Concert Choir. She later earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and dedicated her career to helping children and families as a school psychologist in the Jackson Local and North Canton City School Districts, and later in Lake County, Florida, after relocating to Apopka with her husband Carl.
Born in Canton, Ohio, Janet attended Lincoln High School and graduated from Perry High School in Massillon. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Manly) Sibert.
Janet is survived by her husband, Carl A. Cseak of Port Charlotte, Florida; stepdaughters Lynda (Bruce) Calabrese of Naples, FL, and Lee Ann Hoffman of Johnsville, OH; grandchildren Johnathan and Steven Calabrese, and Stone and Case Hoffman. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Sibert Henderhan of Massillon, OH; nieces Wendi Salvia (Susan) of Columbus, OH, and Heidi Henderhan of Massillon, OH, and her sons Reece and Cameron Turpin; many loving Sibert and Moretta cousins; and her most cherished friend of over 50 years, Alice Nowell of North Canton, OH.
Janet loved music, golf, sailing, and time at the beach. She will be remembered for her warmth, love of sunshine, and the many lives she touched through her work and friendships.

Linus Losh, of Westerville, passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 100.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home in Westerville. A funeral Mass will take place Friday, September 12, at St. Paul Catholic Church, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
