Westerville Home to Several of Central Ohio’s Top Private Companies
Westerville remains a hub for some of Central Ohio’s top privately owned companies, according to a recent report by Columbus Business First. These companies span a wide range of industries, including heavy construction, healthcare distribution, and branding.
Kokosing Inc., located at 6235 Westerville Road, tops the local list with $2.77 billion in revenue and more than 4,300 employees. The company specializes in commercial, heavy civil, and industrial construction, including marine, pipeline, energy, transportation, and water/wastewater projects. Kokosiing rebuilt the Main Street bridge in 2010.
DRK & Company / Metro Development operates out of 470 Olde Worthington Road, Suite 100, and reports $363.89 million in revenue. With 892 employees, the firm focuses on apartment and home development, property management, and maintenance.
Crown Staffing, based at 707 Park Meadow Road, generated $175 million in revenue and employs 227 people. The woman-owned company provides recruitment and staffing services for various industries.
Romanelli & Hughes Building Co., located at 148 W. Schrock Road, earned $120.62 million last year. The company employs 42 workers and focuses on custom homebuilding. The company has developed upscale communities in Westerville, including The Grove and The Ravines at Hoover, and continues to build custom homes throughout Central Ohio.
The Champion Companies, headquartered at 380 Polaris Parkway, Suite 135, posted $115 million in revenue. The firm, which has 164 employees, handles real estate investment, development, and management.
