Woman Charged After Running Man Over Following Kroger Crash
A Columbus woman is facing multiple charges after police say she dragged a man to his death following a minor crash and altercation on Wednesday morning in a Westerville Kroger parking lot.
According to court records, 34-year-old Danielle Henry was involved in a confrontation and minor collision with Ibrahim Diakite at the Kroger on West Schrock Road. After the incident, Henry allegedly drove away, prompting Diakite to follow her onto Schrock Road.
Investigators say Diakite stopped his vehicle in front of Henry’s car, stood in front of it, and climbed onto the hood to stop her from leaving. Henry then accelerated to about 45 mph, dragging Diakite for 300 to 600 feet before he fell and was run over. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Henry faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, hit-skip, and failure to stop after an accident. She was arrested and booked into the James Carnes Corrections Center in Franklin County and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
