Electric model trains circle detailed holiday villages and tiny landscapes in this free display, with volunteers from the Columbus Area N-Scalers operating the layouts and answering questions. A steady, kid-friendly crowd-pleaser.
Holiday Art Mart, Java Gallery at Java Central

Local artists fill the gallery walls and shelves with small works, prints, and gifts. A good stop if you are already in Uptown for coffee and want to do some low-key holiday shopping.
Prom Swap: Accepting Donations

The library is collecting gently used formalwear, shoes, and accessories through the winter for a spring prom swap. Teens can drop off dresses, suits, and ties now and plan to “shop” the collection later at no cost.

Soup for Shelter
Friday, December 12, 5–7 pm, Westerville Senior Center (350 N. Cleveland Ave). Tickets are $20, available online only, with a 300-ticket limit and no door sales. Your online confirmation is your ticket and includes a handcrafted bowl, soup, bread, cookie, and drink.
Progressive Christmas Concert
Friday, December 12, 7:00–9:15 pm. Tickets $15. Walk between Church of the Master, Church of the Messiah, and First Presbyterian Church to hear live Christmas performances. Musicians from Grace Evangelical Lutheran and Central College Presbyterian Church also take part.
Live Nativity
Friday, December 12, 6:00–8:30 pm at Church of the Messiah, 51 N State St. A walk-through Live Nativity with actors and animals, open to all ages.
Westerville Division of Police Blood Drive

Repair Cafe: Sewing & Mending
If you have a favorite item you can’t bear to part with, the Repair Cafe at the Westerville Public Library offers the perfect Saturday stop. From 1:00 to 4:00 pm on December 13, sewing specialists and generous volunteers will help you mend clothing and fabric items while you learn new skills over a cup of tea or coffee. Whether you bring something to fix, want to watch and learn, or hope to lend your own sewing know-how, the space is open to everyone. Tools and common materials are provided, creating a low-pressure, community-driven environment for saving what still has life left in it.

Monday brings mostly sunny skies with a high near 29, followed by a quiet night with temperatures dropping to around 16. Clouds increase Tuesday as southwest winds strengthen, pushing the high to about 39 with gusts near 28 miles per hour.
By late Tuesday night, moisture moves in, bringing a 50 percent chance of rain. Steadier rain arrives on Wednesday with temperatures climbing into the mid-40s. As colder air returns Wednesday night, rain may flip to light snow before tapering. Snow chances continue on and off Thursday through Friday as temperatures fall each day. Highs slide from the low 30s into the upper 20s, while lows drop sharply toward the end of the week, bottoming out around 9 degrees Friday night.
The weekend stays cold and mostly cloudy, with highs near 20 °C on Saturday and 19 °C on Sunday.
